William H. Muncy of Huntington, West Virginia. This

William (Bill) H. Muncy has been working on computers for
more than 20 years. He started in 1980 upon graduation
from high school by taking a course in Computer Programming
at Ashland Community College. This sparked his
interest in computers and he talked his father, Bennett W.
Muncy Sr., into putting his real-estate business and
genealogy into digital format. His father bought a
Tandy TRS-80. He learned to program this computer and
assisted his brother, Bennett W. Muncy Jr., in creating
their first Land Surveying program. His brother now
works for a software company and has his own corporation
creating land surveying software (www.BWMuncy.com).
Bill decided to join the Army in 1982 as a Light Wheeled
Vehicle Mechanic (63B) where he learned to work on
everything from tanks to typewriters. He went on to
instruct at the US Army Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic School in
Ft. Jackson, SC (1994-1996). Then he became a US Army
Basic Training Drill Sergeant (1996-1998). During all
of his time in the military he was used as the unit computer
repairman everywhere he went. He wrote programs for
the units and built computers for their use.
In 1998 he applied for the Early Out Program and was
approved thus setting his departure into civilian life.
He immediately went home to Louisa, Kentucky and started his
own business called Muncy Computer Catacolms. This
business became the center point business for all computer
repair, network, and sales in Lawrence County Kentucky.
He became a DELL, ACER, Western Digital, and SouthEast
Telephone reseller.
In 1999 he took the Comptia A+ Computer Hardware and
Software Technician exam and passed it the first time
without even studying.
While running his store he received his Associates of
Science in Business Management at Ashland Community and
Technical College. Where he specialized in IT and
Small Business Management receiving a GPA of 3.75 during his
studies there.
After 7 years of running his own business health problems
caused him to sell out and close. He then decided to
attend Marshall University and study Integrated Science and
Technology with emphasis in Computer Forensics. He
achieved a GPA of 3.78 in his major and 3.35 overall.
He worked for McSweeney's Incorporated from June 2006 until
October 2007 as the Network Manager and quit to start this
business.
